New production line for solar modules of SOLARWATT AG is enlarged by two 10-opening Ypsators.
When SOLARWATT AG in Dresden installs a fully automatic production line for the manufacture of crystalline solar modules at the beginning of next year, one of the technical highlights will be delivered by BÜRKLE.
Two Multi-Opening Lamination Lines Ypsator manufactured in the Black Forest will encapsulate the individual module components in the production line which has been planned and designed by the automation specialist KUKA Systems in Augsburg.
After a planning and testing phase which took 6 months, SOLARWATT AG and KUKA Systems decided in favour of a globally unique line concept with 2 simultaneously operated 10-opening laminators delivered by the pioneer of multi-opening lamination BÜRKLE.
The main advantage of this innovative multi-opening solution: this line configuration makes it possible to laminate a solar module every 28 seconds in a 3-shift operation on a footprint of only 100 m².
Such a high throughput on this small footprint is globally unique up to now.
The multi-opening laminators of a height of 4.20 m each and a weight of approx. 100 tons are currently tested in the production site in Freudenstadt and the lines will be despatched still before Christmas.
This line will double the current production capacity of SOLARWATT AG to 300 MWp.
